چکیده
Background: Alzheimer’s disease (AD), a progressive neuropsychiatric disorder, is characterized by neuroinflammation, β-amyloid plaques and neurofibrillary tangles. It has been demonstrated that systemic inflammation neuroinflammation caused lipopolysaccharide (LPS) injections in rodents leads to elevation Aβ levels neuronal cell death, finally resulting cognitive impairment.
Methods: Animals received the experimental compound – Scopoletin (2.5, 5 or 10 mg/kg, i.p) for 31 days. Initially 14 days, they only drug; thereafter next 7 days LPS (0.25 mg/kg along with molecules.
Treatment molecules was continued behavioural tests were performed. sacrificed on day 32 biochemical performed brain tissue homogenate.
Results: administration improved memory cognition as indicated reduction of escape latency Morris water maze test increased number entries Y test. Malondialdehyde significantly after reduced glutathione, catalyse superoxide dismutase mice brains. scopoletin oxidative stress. Inflammatory markers. β-secretase apoptotic markers also markedly reduced.
Conclusion: At medium high dose, showed promise response prophylactic entity induced neuroinflamation dysfunction model mice.

Modulatory role of nitric oxide releasing NSAIDs in aging- and lipopolysaccharide-induced cognitive dysfunction in mice
Inflammatory processes play a critical role in the pathogenesis of the neurodegenerative disorders and are associated with cognitive impairments. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and nitric oxide releasing NSAIDs are reported to be effective in reducing the risk of developing AD or cognitive impairments. Present experiments were performed to study the possible effect of nitro napro...

Objective(s): Curcumin, a plant alkaloid from Curcuma longa, possess antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Recently, the antidepressant activities of curcumin were reported. Nevertheless, bioavailability of curcumin limits its therapeutic utility. Nanotechnology is a developing field that potentially enhances bioavailability and the plasma concentration of curcumin. This study investiga...
متن کاملProtective effect of N-acetylcysteine on Dipentyl phthalate (DPeP) induced cognitive dysfunction and brain oxidative stress in mice
Background: Dipentyl phthalate (DPeP) is a plasticizer compound commonly used in polyvinylchloride plastic to increase their softness and flexibility. They are not bound covalently to the plastic polymers and can therefore leach out into the environment, and have been shown to adversely affect the health of humans and animals. Methods: We investigated the effect of DPeP on the various cognitive...
متن کاملAntarctic Krill Oil Diet Protects against Lipopolysaccharide-Induced Oxidative Stress, Neuroinflammation and Cognitive Impairment
Oxidative stress and neuroinflammation are implicated in the development and pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease (AD). Here, we investigated the anti-inflammatory and antioxidative effects of krill oil. Oil from Euphausia superba (Antarctic krill), an Antarctic marine species, is rich in eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). We examined whether krill oil diet (80 mg/kg/day...
